Get Frightfully Festive! What You Need To Do At Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party

Jonny drove down for our seasonal Disney Trip and we were able to do both Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party and Epcot’s Food & Wine Festival. Mickey’s Not So Scary Celebration started on August 16th and runs until November 1st, 2019. In addition to lots of free candy, Disney has created menu items that are exclusive to the event. We tried as much as our stomachs would allow us.

This year, new changes to the party include changes to their ‘Boo To You’ parade and their ‘Disney’s Not So Spooky Spectacular’ firework show. Jack Skellington begins and ends the firework show with narrations while Mickey’ Minnie, Donald, and Goofy enter a haunted house with dancing skeletons, ghosts, and Disney villains.

The ‘Boo To You’ parade is held twice nightly and features characters such as Mickey and Minnie in their seasonal costumes, hitchhiking ghosts with a new addition of the spectral bride (Haunted Mansion famously celebrated it’s 50th anniversary this year), and a new Tomorrowland segment featuring The Incredibles and Buzz Lightyear. Make sure you get there early, so you don’t miss the famous Headless Horseman!

As many of you know, Jonny and I are total foodies. So, of course, we had to try some of the exclusive menu that’s only available during the event. Here are the treats that we tried that are party exclusive. Note: If you would like to view a list of all exclusive treats, click here!

Billy’s Worms & Dirt – , Available at Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Café

Unfortunately, when we went, they didn’t have William ‘Billy’ Butcherson’s white chocolate tombstone that is supposed to go with this treat. What’s in it? Chocolate-pudding with gluten-free cake crumbs and gummy worms.

Constance’s for Better or For Worse Wedding Cake – Available at the Liberty Square Popcorn Cart

This citrus-scented cake with raspberry Bavarian cream, white chocolate glaze, icing pearls, flowers, and a chocolate axe was definitely our favorite of the night.

Chocolate Mickey Waffle Sundae – Available at Sleepy Hollow

These black chocolate waffles come topped with pumpkin gelato, candy corn, caramel sauce, and sprinkles.

Headless Horseman Cheesecake – Available at Sleepy Hollow

This pumpkin layered cheesecake features gluten-free chocolate cake, chocolate crunchies, orange glaze, and a Headless Horseman chocolate piece. This cheesecake tasted just like my homemade pumpkin cheesecake I make for the holidays each year, so I was definitely a happy camper with this treat.

Maleficent Cone – Available Daily at Storybook Treats

Although not a Halloween Party Exclusive, this cone keeps with the Halloween Villian spirit and is perfect on a hot day! This ice cream cone features lime soft-serve on a black waffle cone and is topped with chocolate horns and purple sugar.

We definitely had a wonderful time and we cannot wait to come back next year!
